Thought this was neat and wanted to share with you all something wonderful that social media has granted us-- accessibility to our favorite authors, that is. I follow several of my favorite authors on either Facebook and Twitter and often will tweet or tag them in related posts and sometimes they respond. I am definitely grateful for the authors that take the time to use social media to keep readers appraised of their writing styles, techniques, interests, and updates on their upcoming novels. It is nice to be able to log on to these social outlets and find that authors are carrying ongoing conversations with their fans, entertaining guesses to future plot lines, and posting relevant pictures, songs, and poems for the enjoyment of their fans. I'd recommend all of you to search for your favorite authors on all forms of social media it certainly is entertaining to read their posts and often inspirational to learn more about their writing processes.
Anyway, I bring this up because one of my favorite authors took the time to respond to a tweet I sent her earlier today-- definitely a cool feeling when authors recognize their fans.
